The Travelling Fruit & Vegetable Show
PLAY BASED VEGETABLE AND FRUIT INCURSIONS FOR CHILD-CARE CENTRES
LETTUCE EXPLAIN
Carrots & Co was sprouted with the aim and hope of every child being able to identify, name and familiarise themselves with all the spectacular vegetables and fruit that Australia has to offer. By helping to make fruit and vegetables as cool as a cucumber through songs, puppet shows, dancing, interactive games, and drama, this will in turn help to increase their uptake and intake of fresh produce.
Our program helps with the timeless challenge for parents to get their kids to eat more veg and fruit! One of the greatest things you can do to improve your health and well-being is to eat more vegetables and fruit. Good habits and food choices start early and Carrots & Co feel privileged to be able to help inspire children on this very important journey.

THE PROGRAM IN A
COCONUT SHELL
PICK OF THE BUNCH!
Carrots and Co’s Travelling Fruit and Vegetable Show runs over two terms, taking the kids on a super exciting adventure all the way through the alphabet of fruits and veggies! We leave no fruit, veg or herb unexplored – celeriac, turnips, pak choi, dill… if you can name it, we’ve got it covered!
We pack in spud loads of fun with puppet shows, our own original songs, drama, dancing, interactive games and heaps of fascinating facts – everything designed to celebrate fruits and vegetables in the most joyful way.
Each week we explore a new letter, from Asparagus to Zucchini and Swedes to Broccolini – we really do cover the lot! By keeping the focus on pure fun (without banging on about “eat them because they’re good for you”), we help break down barriers and gently encourage children to feel happier and more curious about fruit and veg.
WE TURNIP THE BEET!
Carrots and Co’s Travelling Fruit and Vegetable Show brings fresh seasonal produce straight into each classroom, giving children that vital hands-on experience to explore and get familiar with real fruits and veggies. Is it prickly? Is it smooth? What colour is it? Does it have seeds inside? Oh, and did we mention we love to dance? Who’s ready for the Mango Tango or the Cucumber Samba?
POTATOES IN SPACE!
Our weekly classes feature exciting themes, all cleverly tied to fruits and vegetables! We share heaps of fun facts too… Did you know avocados were once called alligator pears? Fennel tastes just like liquorice!! You can actually watch asparagus grow right before your eyes, it can shoot up 20–25 cm in a single day! And monkeys don’t peel bananas the way we do!
